| Day 1 |
ALL ABOARD |
|
| All Aboard! Guests depart Northern California
points this morning (including the San Francisco
Bay Area, Stockton, Sacramento, and Roseville,
Auburn areas) aboard the speedy San Joaquin
train for a fast ride down the Central Valley to
Bakersfield. Guests from Southern California
depart this morning for Bakersfield via coordinated Amtrak connectons as do guests on the
Central Coast from San Luis Obispo. At Bakersfield, we board our own deluxe motorcoach for
a scenic drive to Las Vegas via the Tehachapi
Mountains. We arrive in Las Vegas in early
evening at the Flamingo Hotel in the heart of the
Strip. The balance of the day is free to relax after
a welcome cocktail, always a nice way to end the
day. |
| Day 2 |
Las Vegas Nevada |
D |
| We have left most of today free for guests to
enjoy time by the pool, golf, tennis, fantastic
shopping and even games of chance. Tonight is a
special treat, our welcome dinner at Lawry’s The
Prime Rib, a wonderfully swank restaurant for
simply the best prime rib in America. Another
overnight at the Flamingo to enjoy this great
location, just a few minutes walk from the
dancing fountains at the Bellagio, the extraordi-
nary Venetian and the always amazing Caesars
Palace. Very few tours offer guests more than
two nights in Las Vegas, our passengers enjoy
three full nights. |
| Day 3 |
Las Vegas Nevada |
L |
| All morning to sleep in if you wish and we have
included a fun brunch today at always popular PF
Chang’s, a nice mid-day interlude. Tonight is a
final evening to take in one of the many fantastic
floor shows and nightclub acts that make Las
Vegas one of the most exciting evening places on
earth. Overnight at the Flamingo Hotel. |
| Day 4 |
South Rim Grand Canyon |
|
| We depart this morning after breakfast for the
scenic drive to a different sort of spectacular site,
the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon with much of
our drive following the remnants of the former
Route 66, a lovely day. Lovely is too mild an
adjective to describe what awaits us at the South
Rim, probably the most stupendous view in
North America and we have including the grand
sightseeing tour of the South Rim to give you an orientaton of this wonder of the world.
Overnight is spent at the South Rim, with fantastic views, especially as the sun sets. |
| Day 5 |
Williams Arizona |
B |
| This morning begins on a grand note with breakfast in the elegant dining room at the fabled El
Tovar Hotel which is famed for, in our view, the
best French-Toast in the country, all with a
stunning backdrop of the Grand Canyon. We
have left most of the day at leisure, for you to
walk along the Rim, photograph and simply to
take in this magnificent view. Late this
afternoon, we board the historic Grand Canyon
Railway for a scenic journey through the high
desert plateaus and pine forests to Williams,
Arizona and our destnaton for the evening, the
opulent Little America Hotel where we will enjoy
a two-night stay. |
| Day 6 |

B |
Today we visit lovely Sedona, stopping at Mogollon Rim and travelling through Oak Creek Canyon en route. Following our view from the top we
will travel into the Canyon for the spectacular drive into Sedona and its beautiful red rock formations that this area is famous for. Then into Sedona with time for lunch on your own and remarkable shopping in the quaint galleries and boutiques. Following our time in Sedona, we travel to Montezuma Castle, an ancient Indian cave dwelling. Another luxurious overnight at the Little America Hotel. |

visited but very picturesque Sunset Crater and
Wupatki Natonal Monument. We return to the
hotel this afernoon and enjoy a special Farewell

the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway. |
