New York City Add-On
While our Panama Canal cruise begins in Fort
Lauderdale, it is possible to board the ship in New
York City, enjoying three extra nights onboard and
from many eastern or midwestern points, New
York City has vastly better train connections.
Guests also have the thrill of sailing out of New
York City past Lower Manhattan and the Statue of
Liberty, an ideal start to a nostalgic holiday. Better
still, we have a lovely New York City hotel package
that includes an overnight stay (January 12th) at
the renowned Waldorf Astoria, a special sailing
day luncheon at the "21 Club" and a transfer to the
pier where we board Queen Elizabeth. Rates for
this package are quite reasonable at $245pp double
occupancy including hotel stay with all taxes, the
grand "21 Club" and transfer to the ship. Extra
nights are also available at modest cost.

Across America By Train
Not only will our guests see the Panama
Canal by day but scenic wonders await to
& from the voyage with the complimentary
round-trip train travel we have included
from your hometown! This allows you to
enjoy, before or after your cruise, travel
aboard such legendary trains as the
California Zephyr, the Empire Builder, the
Southwest Chief and the Coast Starlight.
We make all reservations for you and
handle all of the details. Highly
recommended after the voyage arrives in
Los Angeles, for our friends in the East and
Midwest, is travel back to Chicago aboard
the storied Southwest Chief, offering up a
visual feast of daylight passages through
the Arizona desert, and passing through
Albuquerque, New Mexico. All aboard! |
The QUEEN ELIZABETH
In an era of countless drab cruise ships,
the QUEEN ELIZABETH is a elegant
exception. With a host of public areas
including a Winter Garden, an authentic
British Pub (with fish & chips and
English ales), the stylish Chart Room Bar
and the Empire Casino, there is plenty of
room to relax and enjoy this heir to the
proud Cunard tradition. There is also the
Queen’s Room with big band dancing
nightly, the swank Midships Bar, and for
those seeking literary respite, a two-deck
high Library - one of the largest afloat.
There are also acres of open deck, the
Royal Spa & Fitness Centre, swimming
pools and, of course, the Panama Canal! |
