Grand Pacific to Grand Tetons

A short but elegant holiday by 1950’s era streamliner train to a trio of extraordinary national Parks with intelligent design, a leisurely pace, superb sightseeing included and tour managers that are ranked the best in the industry.

In the 1950’s and 1960’s, the great way to see the National Parks of the West was to travel by vista-dome train aboard such legends as the North Coast Limited, the City of Portland or the Denver Zephyr, enjoying comfort and great style on the way to scenic wonders like Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. In 2012, we are proud to offer our guests the opportunity to enjoy the finest form of overland travel ever devised, streamliner ‘vista-dome’ service on four special departures to three of the most spectacular national Parks, all in one elegant, comfortably paced holiday. Onboard our own Great Western Limited, our guests enjoy comfortable Pullman sleeping car accommodations with real beds, soft pillows and plenty of comfort. There is dome lounge car that offers that rarest of treats, dome dining, pleasant under glass as you travel through the Cascade Mountains. Naturally, all meals, wines & spirits aboard are included, with meals prepared freshly by a skilled chef and served on fine linen with fresh flowers and deft service.

Remarkably, the vistadome train is simply the opening act of a remarkable vacation that includes Glacier National Park, two nights in amazing Yellowstone, an overnight stay in picturesque Jackson, Wyoming and two nights at the acclaimed Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, a remarkable luxury hotel and the perfect relaxing end to a visual feast. Nicely, completely sightseeing is included, from the famed red open-air jammer buses at Glacier Park over the storied Going to the Sun Road to touring at Yellowstone to a float trip on the Snake River with the Tetons as a backdrop. Similarly, all of our hotels are well chosen and we have left plenty of free time for you to enjoy these places at your own pace.

The principal flaw of this program is that there are only four departures from Seattle aboard the special train and they are certain to sell out so prompt reservations are encouraged to avoid disappointment. All Aboard!
